We are seeking an experienced and dedicated People Manager to join our non-governmental organization (NGO). The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, managing HR functions, and ensuring the well-being of our diverse team. The People Manager will work closely with Head People to implement HR strategies that align with the organization's mission, values, and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Planning:
- Collaborate with Head People to forecast and plan for current and future human resource needs.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a positive introduction to the organization's culture and values.
Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
- Conduct regular check-ins and employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and job satisfaction.
Performance Management:
- Implement and oversee performance appraisal processes.
- Guide managers on performance improvement plans and professional development opportunities.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate relevant professional development programs.
- Support career growth and skill enhancement for employees.
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in benefits administration.
HR Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Keep policies and procedures up-to-date and communicate changes to the organization.
Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records.
- Generate reports and analytics to support informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Resources
- Proven experience as an HR professional, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and MS Office Suite.
